Catching Up: Grandparents in town I can't believe it's been almost two months since I updated this: boy do I have a lot of pictures to share! I'll do it in installments, I promise. I'm just about to enter the tunnel of grading, and I won't be out the other side for a while, but a little photoblogging now and then might be just the procrastination break I need.

OK, so back in mid-March, my parents came to visit for a week and change. We had a blast: they rented a cottage out in Pahoa, so we got to see the "country life" up close and personal, not to mention the Puna coast.

	Max took us on a tour of the trails in the woods behind his school. This labyrinth is the centerpiece of the "Fairy Trail" at Halloween.
	Max has become quite the climber in the last few months. This is a set of tree roots from a toppled tree that continued growing anyway.

	To keep Max occupied during one of our dinners out, Mom made this custom crossword!
	When we weren't eating out, we were taking advantage of the kitchen and patio at the cottage, and eating very well.
	The stone lions at Liliuokalani park are some of Max's favorite climbing statuary. Apparently they need safety helmets, too.
