I'd been trying to work out in my head what MTNS stood for in the PSU seal (yeah, I could have looked it up, but I never thought of it except when I saw the seal, and that was never when I was near a computer). Turns out that the answer was on my building!
Last night the moon was so bright and the sky so clear, that we just had to get out the telescope. We'd stayed home from services because I'd been short on sleep and fighting a cold. This was more fun anyway.
That same cold kept me from joining Max and Woody in the pool for the family swim at the end of his lastest swim class session. He's still a polliwog, but he's really enjoying the water.
This was pretty big on him when Woody started. He's been wearing it a lot since it was done, and that's a good thing: it probably won't fit him next winter....
For the last four months, Max has spent his Saturday afternoons learning to be an Oompa-Loompa. Last weekend, all that training paid off! Though not one of the older oompa-loompas, he was clearly a leading member of the company.
Memorial Auditorium is one of these nice venues which really doesn't seem to have bad seats, but I really do think we got quite lucky. The first night -- yes, we went to both performances -- we were on the right, about three rows back.
Here you can see Willy Wonka in his finery, Charlie Bucket and Grandpa Joe. Max is all the way to the right. He was pretty sure that we wouldn't be able to pick him out, since all the Oompa Loompas were dressed and made up alike. He still isn't sure how we did it...
