  My New Toy: Panasonic Lumix
Enough grousing: Time to upgrade! Fortunately, E-bay had one of the cameras I wanted at a price I could afford. Here's the results: All these were taken from the back porch, with the cameras resting on the ledge (warning: files are not trimmed, though they are compressed by blogger):

In terms of resolution, the Lumix is way ahead (some day I'll have a camera that duplicates the precision of the human eye, but until then it's all a compromise), but in terms of color it's a bit of a toss-up here. The Samsung is way washed-out (I may have had the exposure compensation wrong, though; usually it's not so bad), but the Lumix is just a few shades too green. I'd say it's closer than the Fuji, though, particularly in getting the multiple shadings.
